Biography

Mr. Shahzad Safdar is a senior business executive with vast exposure of the HR and OD domains. He started his career with PTCL, where he was selected to be part of the team that oversaw the privatization of PTCL through the sale of a strategic stake to the UAE-based Etisalat Group.

During his stint at PTCL, he led transformational initiatives, working in close collaboration with world-renowned consultants like McKinsey and BearingPoint, to deliver results that directly impacted the bottom line.

After leaving PTCL, Mr. Shahzad joined Kot Addu Power Company — the largest IPP at the time — as its Head of HR&A. From there, he went to lead the HR function at Pakistan State Oil, the largest Oil Marketing Company in the country. Currently, he is associated with OGDC since March 2020.
